Commission a memento of a home

Sadly many of us have only photographs of family and friends in or around our childhood homes, but we have no image that captures the essence of the place itself. A painting of the house in its setting or a memorable interior is a lasting work of art to be treasured by our children.

"Charles Hill Court in the Surrey hills  is a 1908 triumph of Anglo-French collaboration. Designed by Detmar Blow and the Beaux Arts trained  Fernand Billery, with more than a nod to Marie Antoinette’s Le Petit Trianon at Versailles, it just had to be painted.
Who better  to commission than Andrew Murdoch, distinguished architect and skilled artist, who specialises in painting beautiful buildings. Murdoch captures quite perfectly the proportions, renderings, texture and colour of the east gable of Charles Hill Court. From the suggestion of detail in the Lutyens bench in the foreground, the circle of lawn, the narrow Dutch bricks, leadwork  and French glazing... his brush portrays the truest of representations.  Simply brilliant”
